Just FYI, I use the 32-bit version of XMLTools successfully with Notepad++ v8.1.9.3 32-bit. Do you have a specific need for the 64-bit version of Notepad++?

Did you mix NPP 64-bits and XMLTools 32-bits versions ? How did you install XMLTools plugin ? Manually or with "Plugin Admin..." tool ?

I added it with Plug-in Admin tool. Is there a separate 64 bit XMLTools plug in?

It seems that Plugin Admin in recent version of NPP 32-bits cannot install XMLTools successfully. I'll look what's wrong.

Meanwhile you can try to install XMLTools 32-bits manually. In order to do that, you have to get XMLTools release on https://github.com/morbac/xmltools/releases. For 32-bits version, you must get the XMLTools-#.#.#.#-x86.zip version. Then you only have to unzip the content in NPP plugins subfolder (which by default is located C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\plugins\XMLTools)

Hi Morbac, for info I had the same problem with: Notepad++ v8.3.3 (64-bit) XML Tools Plugin version 3.1.1.12 unicode 64bit — XML engine: MSXML Added with Plug-in Admin tool.

After copying the file 64bit manually in the folder it works anew.
