Facebook yank (C-y) fails

For some reason there are issues with shortcuts in text area in Facebook. To reproduce, just open facebook and try C-w to kill and then C-y to yank. The yank does not show up until a click elsewhere.

For me yank does not work at all. I have to mouse right click and select "paste". Has there been any workaround to this issue?
