Cursor won't lock to Moonlight window on ChromeOS
The cursor will not lock to the moonlight stream on ChromeOS and it causes games to be unplayable. I can only turn 180 degrees in games like ARK and the cursor gets stuck at the bottom right in games like Star Citizen. It's definitely client side as when running moonlight in windowed mode the cursor simply hovers over the window instead of getting locked into it.
I have all the latest Nvidia drivers and my Moonlight is up to date on both ends. I have tried re installing Moonlight on the Chromebook. I have also tried re linking the computer to the Chromebook. This started happening about 2 days ago.
Which version of Moonlight are you running on your Chromebook? Is it the Android version or the ChromeOS version?
Having the same issue on a Samsung Chromebook Plus v1 and it happens on both the android version and Chrome version. It has a 2k screen and a 3:2 aspect ratio which means black bars at top and bottom. It was fixed a while back but seems to be happening again.
I’m having this same issue. ChromeOS mouse movement in the android app and chrome app. I can give specific versions if needed.
I was super excited when I found this post, but there's no solution yet, 6 months later. :( Android version, latest update (10.10) Lenovo Flex 3, ChromeOS: Version 107.0.5304.110 (Official Build) (32-bit)
I've tried a few different mouse related settings but nothing changes symptoms. The mouse always leaves the screen if i look too far in any direction, locking my character into a ~180 view. It does in fact make all games that have 1st or 3rd person character controllers unplayable.
I think it's because ChromeOS doesn't allow Android apps to lock the mouse. I suspect it is an intentional design decision by the ChromeOS team.
Does any other Android app successfully capture the mouse?
It worked on the ChromeOS browser app at one point but it would change the mouse sensitivity every time which you could fix in game just annoying. With the release of the new gaming Chromebooks I wonder if the ChromeOS team will help get it sorted. I can play games like Witcher 3 with a joystick just fine but games like Subnautica the mouse will leave the screen and bring up the OS. That's with the android app on the Chromebook. I've had success with parsec in the past through the browser but even that stopped working. It's been a while since I've tested it.
Is this being looked at all? It is severely impacting a few FPS games we play at our house (unplayable).
It's still broke and now they have gaming chromebooks with the same issue. Oi.
