  • Moonlight Version: v6.0.0
  • GPU: M1 Max Macbook Pro 16"

Server PC details

  • OS: Windows 11 23H2 22631.3672
  • Sunshine version: v0.23.1]

Additional context If I were to guess it has something to do with Game Mode being dis-enabled in the new client version

I'd be surprised if this is related to Game Mode, because Game Mode is only active when Moonlight is in full-screen with focus. It would have already been disabled when Moonlight goes to the background anyway. I suspect it may be an occurence of #159 rather than anything specific to Game Mode.

If you want to try with and without Game mode, you can use our recent CI builds from the time of the change:

I have the same issue after updating to 6.0.0 I haven't observed any audio issues when used with 5.0.1 for a month almost daily in the background or in the foreground. At least I haven't felt it

MacOS latest stable Sunshine latest stable Host PC: rtx 4060 Client PC: M1 pro

FWIW: It stopped happening as soon as I reported the issue. Only change I made was lowering the bitrate from 150 to 100Mbps

BitGrub avatar Jun 15 '24 22:06 BitGrub

@AntonLT does reducing the bitrate change anything for you?
