Feature Request: Custom on-screen input layouts via XML file - including keyboard keys

Open RaouleMenard opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Hello,

Here's a feature that I think would be very helpful:

  • Allowing to import / point to an .XML file describing the layout of the on-screen inputs, in a specific format. For instance I would edit it on PC then download it to my Android device. I think this would simplify the configuration / portability / sharing.
  • Allowing in such layouts to create on screen keyboard keys, for instance F12 etc. This is the main reason to my request: I need having fast access to F12 and such.
  • Adding even mouse clicks - though I don't need that.
  • You could use this layout system for gamepad inputs too, but I personally don't need that as I use a physical gamepad.
  • Preferably, this system would not use .PNG images, just font based text, to simplify the creation process and portability, as everything would be in a single .XML file, that you could switch too for multiple layouts.

Can you please consider this feature?

Thanks!

I think this feature would help a lot for playing some PC games which has a lot of keybord keys to use on mobile phone
