[Feature request]: Custom Resolution
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Huge letterboxing on OnePlus tablet due to non standard screen aspect ratio. Due to high DPI, native resolution is not feasible.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to be able to enter my own preferred resolution, rather than just pick one from the drop down.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Please don't make useless fields required, every time you do, an internet kitten dies :(

Native resolution is feasible. Try this: https://github.com/ClassicOldSong/Widecar
To a lesser degree this is also an issue on the Galaxy Tab S9+ which has an almost but not quite 16:10 resolution (2800x1752). It'd be best to have the option of using one of the smaller standard 16:10 resolutions. But currently only hardcoded 16:9 resolutions are available.
There's a even better solution now. Use Apollo as streaming host software and no matter how strangely your resolution is, it will match your client res automatically.

While I appreciate that you're trying to be helpful I don't think it's in your fork's best interest to post "ads" like this in Moonlight's tracker. Pointing out alternatives is one thing, bluntly stating it's "better" and unequivocally telling users to switch to your fork is another.
(As for Apollo, I do have a suggestion: it could be clearer in the README.md if the new features are actually available on all supported platforms or if they are limited to a single platform. But this is not the place to discuss that.)
Not to be confused, I was saying it's better compared to Widecar.
And you may have noticed that custom resolution requests have existed for a very long time but nothing has moved forward in the main repo, so we have to scratch our own itch because we need the feature now and we have the ability to implement it.
And I'm just providing information, the decision to switch is made by you.
By saying better, it's also containing all features from the original version and provides improvements and other new features, and even security fixes that the original version ignores, there's no reason to not claiming it "better".
Is this already covered by this issue? #1109
