Unable to retrieve password in MMM if URL changed

Open kbembedded opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Expected behavior

  • Enter Credential Management Mode
  • Select a login
  • Change the service/website
  • Click Confirm Changes
  • Press the Eye in the Password box to view the password
  • Password is displayed

Actual behavior

  • Pressing the Eye in the Password box instead says that the request was denied, no request came up on the Mooltipass

Step by step guide to reproduce the problem

See "Expected Behavior" above. I kind of assume this will be not something worth fixing as normally you'd change everything in one go. However this morning I have been experiencing whole Moolticute hard crashes and have been trying to do things step by step to figure out what is causing the crashing. That lead me to making incremental changes when modifying accounts and then I found this.

Moolticute Version

v1.00.1

Operating System

  • Windows 7/10

Mooltipass Device

  • The Mooltipass Mini BLE (bundle 12)

hello! could you quickly perform an integrity check and let us know if you get an issue? we thought we had fixed that issue with 1.00.1 :)

No issues reported from running an integrity check. And still able to reproduce it after running an integrity check.

is this happening for all your credentials in MMM?

limpkin avatar Dec 10 '22 21:12 limpkin

Tried it on a random sample by scrolling through and clicking on whatever. Happened 10 out of 10 times I tried it. Either modifying the URL or username before requesting password caused it to fail to retrieve the password every time.

can you confirm it's not happening with 55.0? https://github.com/mooltipass/moolticute/releases/tag/v0.55.0

I re-installed 0.55.0, reran integrity check there, and ran through the steps above and was able to reproduce the problem still.

@kbembedded is this still happening?

More or less. The request to view password still fails but a little more obviously.
