[Feature Request] Support for SHIFT+LEFT and SHIFT+Right

Open FelipeRearden opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

Hello @moolmanruan !!!!

This FR is about a extension of the SHIFT key where we can differentiate between SHIFT+LEFT and SHIFT+RIGHT

My idea is to use the SHIFT+LEFT to cycle between open notes.

SHIFT+RIGHT is used today to insert diacritics, since my mother language in Portuguese I need SHIFT to do this :)

Thanks for reading this :)

Have a great day !!!!

Hello @moolmanruan !!!!

Thank you very much for the new release. It is amazing to be able to filter the Hotkeys list 😄

Forgive me for keep bothering with about this FR but I just wanna know if you think you are gonna implement this future? I am still struggling with this issue 🙏

Thanks for reading this and I wish you a fantastic day ☀️

Hi @FelipeRearden, I remember looking it at this. I'll try and have a look again. I seem to remember it wasn't straightforward.

Hi @FelipeRearden, I'm reading this ticket again and I think I misunderstood it. I thought you meant that you want to distinguish between the left shift and the right shift in a hotkey, but it seems the you want shift+left and shift+right, which should already be supported (shift, left and shift, right also works).

Hello @moolmanruan just to point this is exactly my FR: distinguish between the left shift and the right shift in a hotkey.

And I agree with you, after reading my own FR, it is not 100% clear what I want. Forgive for the mistake.

Feel absolutely free to deal with this FR that way that you want :) This is still a missing point for me in my workflow that would be amazing to have 🙏

And I really like your plugin, I use daily for many hotkeys !!!

Ah ok, cool. I'll reopen the issue then and try and solve it.
