[House Rule] 00-99 dice result
Please add the 00-99 house rule to balance the dice mechanic.
Right now, the results go from 01to 00 (100). This means at 50% skill, you have 4 Critical Successes and 6 Critical Failures (Fumbles). Also, the automatic success/failure (01-05 and 96-00 respectively) are bonked - successes have no doubles thus no Critical Successes, while the failures have 2 Critical Failures (99 and 00). Changing the dice result to 00-99, means you balanced it out - automatic successes/failures have the same number of critical successes/failures, and having 50% skill has an equal number as well.
Remember about (the main reason I've made this issue):
- Dice so Nice! - this module shows the result of the dice roll. Thus you can't just subtract 1 from the dice result (That would have been nice)
- Automatic Success/Failure range - With 100 being 0 now, means you need to change the ranges. 1-5 changes to 0-4 and 96-100 changes to 95-99.
- Optional Rule for above - Having harder successes means you need to move this goal post. 01 must become 00 in this house rule.
If you implemented Misfires! (page 160), then this should be addressed as well - so 99 would count instead of the 00.
