Webp conversion not functioning

If choosing the webp format for map files, the name of the file uses .webp however the format remains .png and the filesize is unchanged.

This is evident if you try to open a map background in some image editors or check the mime-type data of the file. It would be nice if the webp conversion worked as I am often able to drop the filesize considerably by using webp (which I manually convert to after import).

Ahh, I think I was confused by the drop-down selection to webp. I thought that was the desired format, not the one that was included with the file.

Perhaps this issue should be to make the labelling more clear?
