Expand pet capability to be more akin to a contact, but with different attributes available

Currently I'm entering my pets as a contact, with the intent to set reminders for their pills, vaccinations, birthdays, and w.e. else comes to mind (things I can't do with the current pet option). There are a lot of fields that don't apply to the pets (like most life events, or the phone number), and perhaps there are a few things that only apply to pets (I can only mostly think of health events, like "went to the vet", "went to the dog park", "met a new dog"). So, it would be nice to have a new contact "type" that is a pet/animal instead of a human with its own set of attributes.

I would like something like this as well. I would like to add a picture to a pet as well.

Maybe pets should be considered like contacts of a non-human type and managed in the same way (mostly the same fields) as humans ?

This would be nice. It would allow a pet to be associated with more than one person, through relationships. Pets can even have pet friends!
