Just Player should already be able switch frame rate using system API on its own. I do not fully understand what this is for?

In case of Chromecast with Google TV, it should support at least their seamless refresh rate switching when running Android 11.

Try restarting your device. Some video decoder related resources may be exhausted (by this or other app).

IMHO this is something that would be useful for podcasts instead of movies and TV shows. I would expect it to be more bound to online content. Just Player also...

You can try builds available [here](https://brouken.com/player/) which have skip silence enabled (but lack UI to toggle that). See how well it works for your content.
