Feature Request: Add Streaming URL Input Interface for TV Users

Hi,

First of all, I want to commend you on "Just Player"—it’s an outstanding application, especially with its use of ExoPlayer and FFmpeg. I truly appreciate its performance and versatility, handling everything from basic playback to advanced features that many other players struggle with.

However, I noticed that there is no native way to input a streaming URL directly into the player.

I have reviewed your FAQ regarding How do I open a streaming link, where do I enter a URL?, but on Android TV, invoking the share menu (Android Sharesheet) is not possible. Given this limitation, adding a dedicated interface within the app for direct URL input would be a valuable enhancement for TV users.

I appreciate your consideration and look forward to your thoughts on this.

This would also be useful for sources that don't let you share links except via the clipboard.

I agree. These should be a URL field similar to how VLC has one on Android TV. This would be useful without adding too much UI, like a link button on the player UI.

I made a website just to send a URL to Just Player, and I have tested it on my tv it was working great so far. Here is the link: https://send-link-to-just-player.web-playground.workers.dev/

I tested it on Tv Bro Browser: https://github.com/truefedex/tv-bro

I think we can use this solution till moneytoo implements a native interface inside the app.

After using this solution for a while, I can say that Just Player is superior to other players when it comes to native playback like Audio Passthrough. A better network streaming feature that I like is that it remembers playback position even on a network stream. Thanks, moneytoo.
