Create SOP to remove terms from the obsoletion candidate list.
We need a way to indicate when a term was removed from being an obsoletion candidate, so we don’t add it again later.
Consideration:
- we need to follow-up on "why" a term should be removed from the obsoletion candidate list (e.g. is it because the term is an actual disease, or because one has annotations using this term and there is no time or no will to review these annotations)
- From the technical call:
- Could have a “Protected” subset (or a subset that indicate "do not obsolete this term"
- We need to make sure the we have a source/orcid/link to the issue
- link to the issue should include the reasons why this term should not be obsoleted
- This subset should not be added to the Mondo release
Is it agreed that the way to indicate a term that was removed from being an obsoletion candidate should be maintained in mondo-edit.obo
vs. a separate file with this list of terms and GitHub issue links?
