troubles after reinstall

I had this working perfectly for quite a while. I changed my plugin setup from pathogen to vam and I now cannot get this plugin to work. I have checked my statusline settings, I have moved the location of my statusline setting from low in vimrc to high to see if that makes a different. I am stumped.
