Abandoned?

Is this repo abandoned? Also, what is the relationship between this repo and https://github.com/jwiegley/bindings-dsl? They both have modules in the Bindings.HDF5 namespace.

@sid-kap @mokus0 I would also be interested in knowing the state of this project, and whether one can contribute to it/add examples/adopt it/update it.

This set of bindings was created independently of the one in bindings-dsl and (unless things have changed a lot) is much more complete and has more high-level typesafe bindings.

It is, unfortunately, pretty much abandoned, as I no longer use it at work. It should still work for the things it does cover, as HDF5 is usually fairly good about preserving backward compatibility, but it's been a while since I had the time to update for a new HDF5 release. I'd be happy to merge updates or let someone else take over if someone is passionate about it and has more time than I.

Hi James @mokus0 , it's a pity to abandon this package and I'd like to take over maintainership, if this is fine with you.

@ocramz @mokus0 Any progress on that takeover? Having some Haskell bindings for HDF5 would be very helpful to me.

Hi @kozross , unfortunately I never received a reply on this. I've started writing the "lite" bindings, but it's on the backburner for now: https://github.com/ocramz/hdf5-lite
