Simple markup toolbar for the editor
Currently, the editor is only a text field with a link to the documentation at the top. This may be sufficient for advanced users familiar with the syntax, but it is elaborate and tiring for new and inexperienced users. This lowers the chance for their edits or excludes Moin as a wiki solution for this user group.

Instead of going the path of WYSIWYG, what do you think of adding a small toolbar to the editor, like on GitHub?
Sorry for the late reply. For me, adding a GitHub-like toolbar to generate small chunks of Markdown is a great idea. Can you collaborate on this function?
In the short term, I don't see the opportunity currently; it will depend on our internal priorities, which are, of course, shifting from time to time.
