Only Let a Security Group Use the Buttons

It would be awesome if just some group(s) or user could be able to use the buttons. That way I would guarantee only the right people would do the action I want, like approving a change on my system.

When I published this extension, I couldnt find any rest apis for doing membership checks. But now there are rest apis available so I can look into it. I'm planning to work on a v2 of the extension sometime next month. Will add this feature then

Has this been implemented? It would help to be able to designate a security group that allowed updates to the settings or creation of new rules as well.
