No support for product options / attributes (standard and custom) on which also user could filter (slider section)

Suppose if there is a apparel/clothing brand and he have different sizes of cloths M, S, XL etc... similarly we could also have different custom attributes/options for different brands/categories. No support seems to be for that. Big miss as per ecommerce site.
