Recover messages that were dropped/not written to database

After a security update, this app failed to failed to receive incoming SMS messages. I checked and no incoming messages were written to the internal Android SMS database despite friends telling me that their messages to me showed as sent.

I am wondering if there is any way to attempt to recover these messages. I went several days before realizing the issue and could have missed some important messages during that time.

For me it randomly failed to receive messages from tha begening (january this year). So, i had to drop it. Pitty, i liked this app a lot.
