List menu for template variables in grid mode

I have a list menu template variable. I added the column to the collection view, it would be nice to be able to edit the pull down from there, rather than updating the entire resource.

I would like to be able to achieve this as well but received no response to a post on the MODX Community or Stack Overflow.

Can anyone provide some sample code to show how this can be done please?
