Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.
As an individual who firmly believes in Quality Control it is but disappointing to see individuals which shall not be named but are likely to be fully aware as my target of this request end up flooding the platform with bi-monthly updates to their 200 projects which already on their own can be considered spam or bloat.
Describe the solution you'd like
Grand users the ability to either
- (a) Outright block individual creators/authors by delisting them client-side even if requiring a login to keep track of
- (b) An additional search function with a black or whitelist toggle to then insert the name(s) the user wants to filter out/for in their results
Describe alternatives you've considered
Effectively none. I am glad to see platforms take actions against mass amounts of low effort content and yet it appears that the sheer amount of publicity larger creators offer, none of them will realistically be removed in the foreseeable future as many others seem to defend this approach to Minecraft modding. Well maybe someone could come up with a browser script which blocks certain entries from being displayed but that's likely too farfetched to work out. The worst part is how alternative launchers such as Prism would also need to offer this as it's affected by the same issue in question.
Additional context
Given the track record of CurseForge's search feature being rather unoptimized, an alternative (https://superstormer.github.io/cf-search/) in fact provides the option to selectively remove any and all results from authors the user lists.
