What browsers are you seeing the problem on?
Firefox, Chrome (including Arc, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi)
Describe the bug
For some reason in browsers i tested (firefox and chrome) if you click any buttons in the modrinth website https://modrinth.com/ for example the download button the search button the screenshots button pretty much everything, but for some reason in the first like 5 seconds you can click everything so everytime i have to download a mod i have to reload the page endless times. In firefox the buttons dont do anything but in chrome they do the little animation but they still do nothing
Steps to reproduce
Just go to the modrinth website and after 5 seconds for me i can press anything ( i dont really know why it is happening)
Expected behavior
Instead of opening the link to download something or let you search it just does nothing
Additional context
This has been for months but i remember that it worked before like 5 months ago but since then nothing also in chrome it does the animation
Same thing for me, I have that issue on Microsoft Edge (didnt test other browsers). I dont have these 5 min of clicking time tho. What works for me is middle_clicking a button. Only works on those that actually bring you to a new link. Filtering mod versions for example doesent work tho
@MadCat5 sry i meant like 2 seconds also wdym middle clicking a button
When you middle click (clicking with the scroll wheel) a link (most buttons are links) you open it in a new tab
I found the solution btw:
The problem is an issue with the extension "i don't like cookies" (idk the exact thing off the top of my head). Just disable modrinth for that extension and ur good. This worked for me at least.
I don't know if this is the same issue but a lot of the buttons don't work for the first little bit if you have a slow Internet connection
hey thx @MadCat5 i also have "i dont like cookies" so i will check it out later and see if that fixes my problem
Thanks @MadCat5 , can confirm that disabling I don't care about cookies fixes it for me
