Modrinth app does not seem to install correctly

What version of the Modrinth App are you using?

Supposedly 0.8.5 according to windows' program manager.

What operating systems are you seeing the problem on?

Windows

Describe the bug

Above is a description of the issue. I was asked to explain my problems twice - once on the support page and again on the discord server by modrinth staff - and I'm not going to retype the problem for the third time, the explanation on the screenshots should be sufficient.

Steps to reproduce

1 - Download the modrinth client installer from the official source. 2 - Run the installer. 3 - Try to launch the client afterwards.
