Some mods can't be found in the app search

Please confirm the following.

  • [X] I checked the existing issues for duplicate problems
  • [X] I have tried resolving the issue using the support portal
  • [X] I have ensured my Modrinth App installation is up to date

What version of the Modrinth App are you using?

0.7.1

What operating systems are you seeing the problem on?

Windows

Describe the bug

Some mods can't be found in the app search For example, 1.21.1 version of Lithium mod (It can be found on website w/o any problems)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to Search
  2. Set filters to Fabric and 1.21.1
  3. Try to search for Lithium mod
  4. See that there are no results

Expected behavior

All mods can be found correctly in app search the same as website

I'm also having this issue (macOS, modrinth app Version 0.8.7 (20240910.081136)) when I search for a mod, i.e. Better Third Person, from the "Add Content" button for an instance, the mod will not show up. If I search from the app's general search, the mod will show up, but when attempting to install it to my instance, the instance does not show up, so either way it's impossible to add certain mods.

I had this problem too, but I'm pretty sure the problem is that the mod you want is not available in the version of your instance. In that case, you sadly cant use that mod on that version

I found clearing the app cache of Modrinth in the resource management tab of the in app settings helped me with this
