Modrinth v0.7.0 on Windows Crashes When Attempting to Change Settings, Login, or Open a Profile

Open evelynhathaway opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug

Modrinth v0.7.0 on Windows 11 and Windows 10 crashes on its own after opening, but it happens instantly when attempting to load the settings page, or login, or play a profile (due to the new login method).

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting, and deleting %USER%\AppData\Roaming\com.modrinth.theseus\caches; the issue remained. Downgrading to v0.6.3 for Windows worked just fine.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Update to Modrinth v0.7.0 on Windows
  2. Attempt to login

A system dialog box opens "Modrinth App has Stopped Working"

Expected behavior

No crashes 💥

System information

Tested on Modrinth v0.7.0 with Windows 11 and Windows 10
