mod-desktop for Windows do not start

Mod-desktop for Windows. Versions 0.0.5, 0.0.6, 0.0.7, 0.0.8 do not start. The Open Web GUI button is not active. Version 0.0.4 is starting. But it has a huge number of inputs and outputs. Pulling out one cable to the output, connects the 4th at once. Is this normal?

thanks for your interest, but this is not really a valid ticket as-is.

first of all, please do not bother checking old versions, updates are released quickly purposefully to cover the last known issues. if something new comes up, it will get fixed quickly.

then make sure to describe 1 issue per ticket. the user-files button not working is a known issue, will fix that shortly.

maybe this ticket we can use it just to understand why it does not start for you, ignoring all else..?

I am currently using version 0.0.4. Please tell me how do I install version 0.0.8. Install on top of the old version or uninstall the old version first and then install the new version?

the latest release is accessible through https://github.com/moddevices/mod-desktop/releases/latest (this link will always point to the latest)

please uninstall the 0.0.4 and only afterwards install the new one, as the project name changed and thus you would get duplicated entries (so best to uninstall this old version first). for future versions it is fine to simply download the new installer and update/install through that

by the way, 0.0.9 release is coming up very soon which fixes the user-files button not doing anything.

I tried to install version 0.0.8 again, and again the status is stopped. I started to figure it out and found that my antivirus had deleted some file. Allegedly, this is a threat to the computer. I'm attaching a photo.

false positive, happens way too often with antiviruses.
