Add ability to see reflected orientation between indexes and nodes

Open maximpashuk opened this issue 10 years ago • 4 comments

For now:

  • indexes have horizontal orientation,
  • nodes have vertical orientation.

This orientation very good is you have many nodes and few indexes, in this case only vertical scrolling occur in browser, which is ok for everybody.

But sometimes situation is reflected - if you have few nodes and many indexes, you will get a horizontal scrolling, which is not convenient.

I know I can filter indexes by name, this is enougn in most cases, but please add ability to see reflected orientation between indexes and nodes.

This may be a button switching view-modes, or something more clever.

As a logstash user, I would love to see this.

@lexelby @maximpashuk There is a different tab which shows an index favoured view - at the moment there is not much in this screen - but I could add more information - what you you like to see

Honestly, I really just want to see what's on the main cluster overview page, except with the axes switched. The shard allocation view is invaluable and is unmatched in any other ES plugin I've been able to find.

This issue was labeled "Will Fix" nearly 2.5 years ago. I think "more indices than nodes" has to be pretty common. Is there any way to bump this into being done sooner than later?
