[v1.36.0, v1.35.0] Unable to open maestro studio

Open christinachimi opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug When I enter maestro studio at the prompt, a browser window opens with the error "This page isn’t working If the problem continues, contact the site owner. HTTP ERROR 400"

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior, e.g.:

  1. Install maestro. Initially I could not run maestro due to an error about not finding the Java runtime. I downloaded and installed Java and can now run maestro and maestro test successfully.
  2. Run the app (using expo run:ios, via yarn).
  3. Run maestro studio
  4. The window opens with the error. Reloading does not change things.

Expected behavior The studio opens as described in the docs.

Environment information (please complete the following information):

  • Maestro version: v1.36.0 (also tried v1.35.0)
  • Platform: iOS 17.4
  • Framework: RN Expo
  • Device model and OS version: iPad mini 6th gen v17.4 (have also tried with an iPad Pro 12th)
  • Simulator, emulator or physical device: simulator
  • Host: Mac M2 Pro

Additional context I assume this isn't exactly a bug in Maestro, as it occurs across versions, but possibly some assumption in the setup that isn't being met? Other than installing Java, are there other requirements beyond installing maestro itself?
