Mod loader not launching after installing it

Heyo i don't know if this project might still be maintained or not but basically : I tried to install the mod loader (copied everything to the root of my game's folder (steam release by the way)), launched the game : nothing happens (no Mods folder is created, if I try to create it myself and put a mod in it it just doesn't load). Has this been tested recently / is it still supposed to work ?

Due to the game switching to il2cpp, this loader cannot be used in the new version of the game. Please try to using MelonLoader.
