Nothing happens when typing "sudo snap install cncra2yr" on Debian 11 Chromebook using Linux..
Snapd and other dependencies were installed, but when I typed the "sudo snap install cncra2yr" command, the terminal would sometimes say "Initalising Wine", and then "Installing application...", but then abruptly stops the process with a "Running hook" message which seems to direct to a path in the snap/93/sommelier/ called a "pre-hook". No installer shows up asking me to place in the required files for Yuri's Revenge..
May anyone please help me out with this problem? I would greatly appreciate it!
Try using older runtime snap
snap refresh --beta wine-platform-runtime-core20
If still not working then try purge remove cncra2yr
snap and reinstall it.
snap remove --purge cncra2yr && snap install cncra2yr
I have tried the snap refresh command, as well as reinstalling cncra2yr snap. Both do not bring any changes. Again, no installer screen shows up to further request the required game files.
Can you maybe give me a very detailed, step-by-step guide on installing the cncra2yr snap properly on a Chromebook? I am not sure if the problem could be that Linux might run differently on ChromeOS system..
The basic instructions of just running the sudo snap install command does not seem to work at all.
It takes time to show dialog with install button show as all needed things for client installs.
Maybe snapd issue generally on debian or maybe some otherthing idk tbh.
try launching snap from terminal when first time & send logs.
snap run cncra2yr
Just to organize the procedure, may you please give me a clear installation guide on how to properly install the snap? I am not sure if it is as simple as just running "snap install cncra2yr"?? It does not go anything like what should happen according to this website: https://www.dedoimedo.com/games/cncra2yr-linux.html.
check if any other snap is working for you beside wine snaps if that not working then snapd is not properly installed.
