Settings Button
Not a necessity, however since "settings" at this point have several easily distinguishable icons, the settings button could be shrunk to just an icon, to allow for additional space for other buttons, which could be helpful on smaller displays.
That's actually a decent idea, but it'd make the Settings button too insignificant in comparison to the Trending and Feed pages, which are lower significance. I don't think we can reduce Trending and Feed to icons, and if we did, most of the navigation bar would be either empty or be filled by the search bar.

Certainly true.
I had merely thought that it could be helpful in conjunction with some of the other issues I had opened.
