Do you have Settings->Build Tools->Gradle offline work activiated? turn off offline work and give a try

Why? Which is the limitation? Project has differents flavours, but I'm editing a XML, under 'res' folder.

I am getting the same error. My offline mode is disabled. Is the .aar file available in mavenCentral ?
