@longye-tian and @SylviaZhaooo I propose that we add a `lectures/glossary.md` file and add `IID` definition to that document. We can then start linking to the glossary internally -- and once...

The only entry so far in the `glossary` would be `IID` but it will be a place to host explanations of terms and concepts. If the wikipedia entry is suitable...
