Append formatted signature to bottom of e-mail

I currently have a nicely formatted signature that I use for my e-mails that gets reformatted according to Markdown syntax. Would it be possible to have that added to the final rendered e-mail instead of considering it to be part of the source text?

An alternative might be to add a separator, like -- before the signature to indicate not to reformat that portion.

This is a good idea. I am not actively working on this extension but would be glad to accept and review pull requests.
