Number of prototypes needed per class

Q: I am new to FSOD and I would like to check how many prototypes (examples?) are needed for my custom classes? I have 3 classes (components on a printed circuit board) that I would like to detect. Additionally, I have been seeing questions about background prototypes. I suppose the background prototypes are generic from the pretraining dataset (sky, ground, etc.) but for my case my background is a circuit board.

Q: Since my background is not generic, I potentially need to retrain the network with my specific background prototypes (as stated here https://github.com/mlzxy/devit/issues/21#issuecomment-1787692910)?
