Batch edit-friendly conversion does not update the timeline
Batch edit-friendly conversion using View->Resources .... does not or incompletely update the timeline when converting.
The conversion works as expected and all converted files are correctly created, but the timeline is not - or partially only - getting updated and keeps the original source files. Using View->Resources again lists the original files plus the converted files.
Individual conversion one by one works though. The files in the timeline get substituted by the converted file.

Still the same in 25.12.2 beta. Files which are selected for conversion via View->Ressources .... are correctly converted but in the timeline the original files don't get updated (substitued) by the converted files.
Not planning to add this, and this area is only for bug reports.
It already does this. I've noticed this report multiple times and tried to recreate it. But I can't. I tried many files on the timeline. I've tried big files on the timeline. I've tried Windows and Linux. It always replaces all the files on the timeline for me. Maybe there is some race condition that is triggered by something else.
If you can provide more clear steps to help reproduce then we will reopen if we reproduce it. For example, maybe it happens only when you do certain kinds of changes on the timeline while jobs are running.
It's weird. It still happens, but I have not found the condition which makes it happen. When I remove some files from the timeline (a mix or jpg, m2ts and mp4 - but the mix doesn't even seem to be the culprit) it seems to work as expected, means the timeline is getting updated. Weird. I will revert when I find a reproducible test condition. Thanks.
I think/hope I found a workaround: If the timeline update fails, move (ripple) all files slightly forward and backward again, and then repeat the conversion. The timline update (replacing the original files by the converted files) seems to work then.
