In the current binary (0.4.2 / 20251107): When you selet a rectangle area and copy via Ctrl+C and start pasting via Ctrl-L the area is missing the selected line at the bottom and the selected column to the right. So currently to select and copy, paste everything, you actually have to select x+1 y+1 to get it all.

Will look at it - icy_term changed the selection so no longer empty height selections are possible - it's likely that icy draw has some issues with that. ATM I'm busy with getting icy term updated but will take a look.
