SSH Output garbage...

On an SSH connection to shsbbs.net with the credentials bbs:shsbbs icy_term and other bbs terms give me garbage from windows. From linux, they're fine. From Putty, ZOC or the ssh commandline it's fine. Can anything be done to fix this? I'm merely using the openssh daemon to call a mystic telnet session to my BBS.
