Workspace Folder Contents Disappear

I am using the "remote workspace" extension, but only have this issue on one particular workspace. When I open VS Code and open the site, I am able to expand any folder. After some time, the contents of "open" folders disappear, and the only way to get them back is to completely close down and restart VS Code.
