Open the project up to new maintainers?

Sorry to @ you, but @mkkellogg if you don't want to maintain this project anymore, do you have plans to open it up to new maintainers? I tried switching to Spark but it seems a bit over-engineered in comparison. I think a lot of other projects depend on this repo. It looks like there are a lot of good PRs with new features waiting to be merged. I would volunteer, but I don't really have the expertise. Perhaps a blurb could be added to the README that states that this project is looking for new maintainers?
