Translation of dsnote into Russian. Thanks to the author of this program, this is exactly the program that I have long wanted to find and it has exactly what I needed. This small contribution is my gratitude to you, great developer!
Hello
As you may have noticed, there is a conflict because translation file for Russian already exists. I added this last week in 38022d178cfa31e457240e908e97efa0ad8d748a. Existing Russian translation comes from the contribution done via transifex service.
I can't merge it but I also don't want your work to go to waste. Perhaps you could improve the existing translation and update this PR to only include the changes?
Oh, sorry, I didn’t know that someone had already translated it. I just now noticed the conflicts. I looked at both versions of the translations into Russian, almost identical, with minor differences. But I have Manjaro Linux and I installed Speech Note 4.4.0 via Flatpak. And I don’t have Russian in the interface, my entire interface is in English. I don't understand why this is so. You are a developer, and it’s up to you to decide; perhaps it makes sense to make my translation as an option for translation into Russian, if necessary. Or delete my pull request if it's not needed. For me, the most important thing is that Russian localization works.

Russian translation is something very new. It will be available staring from version 4.5.0 (not released yet).
I'm planing to push 4.5.0-beta version soon, so if you are using flathub-beta
channel, you would be able to test it.
Alternatively, you can install Speech Note from AUR repository (package name: dsnote-git
). I didn't test it on Manjaro but if it works on Arch Linux, so most likely on Manjaro as well. Be aware that dsnote-git
will pull a ton of dependencies required for building. Moreover, build itself might take 1h.

Let's keep this PR open. Maybe after you become familiar with the new translation in v4.5.0 you may want to make some corrections and changes.
Thank you for the kind words about Speech Note. It is very rewarding when someone finds my work useful :)
I'll wait for the 4.5.0-beta version! Installation from AUR repository takes up a lot of space compared to Flatpak. Naturally, I am very grateful to you for your work in creating and maintaining Speech Note. I don't know of another program so well made with such functionality and a convenient graphical interface for Linux. All other whisper wrapper implementations I've found are terrible. Pros of Speech Note: 1) Confidentiality 2) Work completely offline, which is sometimes very important. 3) GPU acceleration 4) The fastest whisper implementations available. 4) There is even voice acting for the text!
The only thing missing, in my opinion, is voice activated input. Example: Listen to Speech Note! So that you can enter text in any applications on the system by activating entering text by voice command.

In fact, several users have already asked for this kind of functionality. I'm adding it to my "virtual" TO-DO list.
Oh, hello there I'm current maintainer for Russian translation, so you can join to transifix project or contact me if there any questions about quiality of translation.

Thank you for the suggestion, but for now I'm just waiting for the Russian language to be added. For now I'm just waiting
Well, 4.5.0 come out 25 or so days ago, which included Ukrainian and Russian translations, so I think there nothing to wait for anymore?
@AliveDedSec Indeed, Russian translation has already been added in version 4.5.0.
I think this PR may be close.
