Camera / 3D view manipulation

Is there a keyboard shortcuts / mouse (trackpad?) guide? I have no idea how I would go about changing the camera. (among other things)

I'll chime in and say that better camera control should, IMHO, be towards the top of the list. It's really cumbersome to move around.

AutoCAD's viewcube is probably patented but boy did it work well.
