Evaluate the possibility to merge the aggCountry and aggRegion functions

The functions are very similar and based, maybe a single function with switch is sufficient.

Also need to review the aggCountry function to incorporate changes which has been made to the aggRegion function but have not yet reflected on the aggCountry function.
