Windows build does not execute (08-Dec-2013 build)

I've never used this program and really wanted to try it after discovering it today. I downloaded the zip file of the windows build, extracted it, and tried to run the executable. This is the error pop up I get: pop up window title: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" message: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." I'm running this on 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

Would anyone have any idea of what I should try to fix this?

I so badly wanted this to work. If any devs could consider updating the daily builds from 2013 - I am sure more people would be interested.

Can there really be no solution to this? I'm getting this in 2018. What is it? Could you be just a little more vague?
