PI hole interface connection failed.

So I tried to follow this https://hackernoon.com/create-your-new-reality-with-wirehole-and-other-awesome-automation-tools-viq3tbb as it has a more stepped out guy everything looked to be perfect, peer connected but it would not open any PIhole interface and in the wire guard logs it was stating Handshake to peer1 did not complete after 5 seconds.

any idea what happened and why?
