Hello, I downloaded the latest C++ and it still doesn't work when I open the makeblastdb.exe it tells " mandatory value is missing" Ur help is appreciated

This simple solution worked for me, and I hope it does for you as well.

I have the Easyfig app on both my Mac at home and my windows laptop at work. However, it has never worked on my windows laptop.

I finally solved this problem by changing the compatibility of Easyfig.exe, makeblastdb, and blastn (which I need) to Windows Vista. My laptop is currently running Windows 10, 22H2. I have tried other compatibility versions, such as Windows 8 and 7, but only windows Vista worked, and it runs without problems now.
