I belive this is something like our merging our results data for multiple HDF inputs

This could be a way that folks could collect a 'systems result set' at a point in time. This may be a good cross connection point as we look at the enterprise level view of groups of HDF data. This, I belive, is what the ASR format does in other tool chains.
