App still active?

Open traviskroberts opened this issue 5 months ago • 9 comments

We have this GitHub app installed on two of the repositories in our org. I noticed that (around) July 8, 2025, labels were no longer being applied to pull requests.

Is the app still running/available?

I haven't touched the project in about 7 years it seems....

I did just try merging a pull request from 2023 which might fix stuff? https://github.com/mithro/autolabeler/pull/67

@mithro Thanks for the response! It's still not working for our repos. Is there a way for me to see runs/logs for the app to see if/where it might be erroring?

I took a closer look at this. It seems this App was originally hosted on Glitch (https://atom-click.glitch.me/) but Glitch no longer hosts apps;

We’ve got an important update for the Glitch community today: We’ll be ending web hosting for your apps on Glitch.

Yes, Glitch is off the table 😔

Probot did an update of their doc removing it and pushing now to Heroku and other: https://github.com/probot/probot/blob/master/docs/deployment.md#as-node-app

Sadly, the free tier is gone or not usable on pretty much every option listed it seems.

Dear @mithro, I was able to have my forked version working being deployed on render.com

Any plan to update your app with? (I see a commit with render.com https://github.com/mithro/autolabeler/commit/c9bf1292766df70aa500182d2a863c05e2b0daf9)

If you are looking for any help let me know 👍

I've tried deploying the app at https://mithro-autolabeler.onrender.com and set a redirect from https://atom-click.glitch.me/

Looks like it might be working again now?
