Incompatible with latest Halide

I'd love to use this project but it seems to be incompatible with the latest Halide source code

This was an academic prototype for a paper from five years ago, but no one ever took ownership to keep it alive. It should be possible to revive, but might not be trivial. A good place to ask about interest, issues, and pointers is https://gitter.im/halide/Halide.

I'd be happy to help keep it alive or work on a PR for the main Halide repo. The port I linked above will build but it doesn't function anymore, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Could use help with that!
